Renton, WA | Flags at Half Mast for Granite Mountain Hotshots of Prescott, AZ

Hi Neighbors,

With much love and respect, we share in sorrow and send condolences to the amazing city of Prescott, Ariz., and the community's loss of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, the only municipal Hot Shot crew in the nation.

My city, Renton, Wash., flew flags at half-mast on the day of the Hotshots' team memorial, July 9, 2013, to support the community and one of Renton's own who lost a brother among the 19:

Access other memorials and remembrances, and more Granite Mountain Hotshot links.  Watch the memorial, the funeral procession and return to downtown Prescott, Prescott Frontier Days ringing of the bell with riderless horses, moving interview with two firefighters of the honor guard who removed, and stood post for, the Hotshots, and an online tribute.

Visit the Granite Mountain Hotshots memorial or Renton Police Officer Tracie Jarratt's GoFundMe sites to learn how you can support this community in this time of loss.  Be sure to read the poem on Jarratt's site.

Honor those Connections,
With Kindness, Love, and Affection,
We return Home,
Dena
