The buildings surely made us feel proud and walk more stately even though we reside as citizens of another place.  The buildings and inner harbour taught me that it's necessary to overlap tourism, commerce, and politics to create a hospitable place that all can appreciate and enjoy day and night.  Learn more about the Legislature Building and plan your visit via public or self-guided tours.

Want to visit Victoria?  Travellers can utilize transportation to Victoria via a variety of transports including Kenmore Air, the Victoria Clipper, Washington State Ferries, or BC Ferries.  We chose BC Ferries for our journey.  Just be aware that arriving in Sidney, BC means you will need to drive via car or bus to the Inner Harbor.  Travelling by car means you pay more to board the ferries, for gas, and time, but, comparatively, cost seems a wash as air or Clipper tickets tend to be more expensive than ferry tickets.  So travel to Victoria based on your preference. I liked the large sundeck and laid-back ride of BC Ferries for a close-up view of the scenic Gulf Islands.
