Vancouver, BC | Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Hi Colleauges,

I enjoyed a trip to Canada recently.  Enjoy these pixels of  Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden:

I think these turtles are alive.
I saw a head move.
I think... (above)

Our lovely tour guide, Bev.
Was I intrigued by the tour,
or her exceptional Canadian accent?
Both. :D (above 2)

Bonsai before being wintered (above 2)

My favorite room: The Study (above 5)

I wrote this character!  [mén] (above)
It means doorway/gate,
and when combined with other characters,
expands in meaning.
I like it's additional meaning: school of thought.
Thanks to the Garden and nciku for explaining what I wrote!
btw, the board above uses water!

After Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, I ordered tea from Ten Lee Hong Enterprises per a recommendation from one of the garden staff (thank you!).  I enjoy Asian-themed gardens, such as Kubota Garden (Seattle),  Nishinomiya Tsutakawa Japanese Garden at Manito Park (Spokane), and Lan Su Chinese Garden (Portland).  One must visit the great Pacific Northwest to see these gardens!
