Des Moines Marina and South Puget Sound

Hi Colleagues,

Yet another beautiful city on the shore of Puget Sound in the Seattle-metro area, enjoy this pixel-roll of the City of Des Moines' water-drenched Marina:

Enjoy the Des Moines Marina!  We went crabbing many-a-summer day.  We have walked the Pier even when the cold winter wind blows the salty marine air as dandelion seeds from off of the Sound's surface to prick my nose and fingers.

You can see that people make good use of the area to fish, sail, boat, and play.  The Marina also hosts an annual wooden boat show and participates in the Passport to Puget Sound promotion for boaters.  With such appreciation we must ensure that our Sound and its birds and wildlife stay healthy via conservation and volunteer efforts and partnerships.  Help keep our water and marinas clean!  Visit the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.  Learn more about the South Puget Sound.  Isn't it beautiful?

The Des Moines Marina illustrates yet another reason why I Love Renton and Renton is a great place to live, work, visit, and play:  Access to nearby beauty!  Only beware; the Puget Sound in all its mirrored glory is sure to seep into your veins and it will take a terrible beauty to let you go!
