Abstract
This paper will reflect on the author's journey through inner loss (i.e., fear) as contributing to developing a vocational leading philosophy (Palmer, 1990; 1998; 2000; 2004; Wheatley & Kellner-Rogers, 1999) as living wholly connected (Wheatley, 2006) via sharing creative competencies (Baldwin, 2005; Behar, 1996; Downs, 1999; Jackson & Parry, 2008; Peterson & Langellier, 2006) in organizations to heal during loss (Bosticco & Thompson, 2005; Glazer & Marcum, 2003; Miesbach, 2001; Palmer, 1990; 2004).
This paper will explain vocational leading through the context of this course as living as interconnected in awareness and action with the self, people, the divine, and the created world (Kabat-Zinn, 1994; Palmer, 1990; Wheatley, 2006), and will link the author's participation in this academic program as an educational ideal that develops vocational leading (Buford, 1995; Jesuit Colleges, 2009; Moreland, 1997; Palmer, 1993). This paper will envision the author's future roles as encouraging others to discover and to share their vocation so that they may heal themselves and bring wholeness to their world (Katongole & Rice, 2008).
